Hospitalist
Seeking a Board Certified Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage at a critical access hospital. The physician will manage adult medical and ICU patients, including admissions and rounding, while working independently during scheduled day or night shifts.
Compensation: $190/hr

Contract Length: 6 months
12-hour variable shifts:
Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
No call
Current Coverage Needs
August 7–10: Day shifts
November 27–30: Day shifts
December 1–7: Night shifts
December 29–31 (possibly longer): Night shifts

Practice Details
Average census: 10 patients/day
Hospitalists manage both Medical/Surgical and ICU patients
Pediatricians admit and manage pediatric patients; hospitalists may be consulted when needed
Solo physician coverage
EMR: EPIC
Requirements
Board Certified Hospitalist
Active Alaska medical license
Active Alaska DEA
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years of experience
Documentation of relevant inpatient Internal Medicine or Family Medicine clinical activity within the past 24 months (waived for physicians who completed training within the past year)
Additional Information
COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions).
EPIC experience is preferred.
This position is ideal for physicians comfortable managing both general inpatient medicine and ICU-level care in a rural critical access setting.
