Cardiologist (General Cardiology & Electrophysiology)
Assignment Details
• Location: Bellingham, Washington
• Start Date: ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
• Duration: 9 months
• Coverage Reason: Gap coverage
Compensation: Hourly Rate – $315/hr, Overtime – $410/hr, Holiday – $475/hr,
24-Hour Call – $2975 per 24 hours, Night Call – $630/shift, Call Back – $395/hr.
Schedule
• One week per month of General Cardiology coverage
• 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Anticipate 2 weeknight call shifts during each coverage week
• Potential 24-hour weekend call as needed
Practice Setting
• Electrophysiology: Hospital and Clinic (both privileges required)
• General Cardiology: Hospital only (hospital privileges required)
Clinical Details
• Adult patient population
• 247-bed hospital
• Rounding and admissions
• Average of 8–10 General Cardiology patients per day
• APC support available Monday–Saturday
• EMR: Epic
Required Procedures
Electrophysiology
• Full spectrum of electrophysiology procedures
• Pacemakers
• Ablations
General Cardiology
• Cardioversions
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Approximately 2–4 TEEs per shift
Requirements
• MD/DO
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Board Certified in Electrophysiology
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP required
• Epic experience required
• Active Washington license preferred; IMLC accepted; willing to license depending on start date
• Case logs from the previous 24 months required
– General Cardiology: Documentation of cardiovascular disease services
– Electrophysiology: Documentation of 100 electrophysiology cases representative of requested privileges
Credentialing
• Hospital and clinic privileges required for Electrophysiology
• Hospital privileges required for General Cardiology
