Overview
This facility is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage to support team growth and retirement transitions. The role includes inpatient rounding, outpatient procedures, and call coverage.
Position Details
- Priority: High
- Schedule:
- Block coverage, 7 days per week.
- Start Fridays at 5:00 PM, ending the following Friday at 5:00 PM.
- Specific dates needed:
- 2025:
- Feb 10–28 (may not be feasible due to credentialing).
- Mar 21–Apr 4
- Apr 18–25
- May 2–9
- May 30–Jun 13
- Jul 4–18
- Aug 8–22
- Sep 12–26
- Oct 17–31
- Nov 21–Dec 5
- Dec 26–Jan 2, 2026
- 2025:
- Frequency: 1–2 weeks per month as per availability.
Responsibilities
- Weekdays:
- Begin rounds at 8:00 AM with PA on call.
- Perform 4–6 outpatient procedures daily in the endoscopy unit (screening colonoscopies, EGDs).
- Weekends:
- Call coverage and hospital rounds based on patient volume.
- On Call:
- Yes, average admissions while on call: 0.

Requirements
- Board Certification:
- DO/MD – Required.
- Licensure:
- Pennsylvania license – Required.
- DEA – Required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS and BLS – Required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year – Preferred.

- Privileges: Full and temporary available.
- Credentialing Timeline: 60 days.
