Rates: $5000/day
Opportunity Highlights
- Status: STAT NEED for February 23–27.
- Schedule: Various Monday–Friday and Friday–Monday blocks available throughout 2026.
- Support: Lab and X-Ray on-site; integrated care with Internal Medicine and Surgery teams.
- EMR: Epic.
Clinical Scope & ProceduresThe physician will manage an average of 8 procedures per week across various specialties including Hepatology and General GI.Required Procedures:
- Upper GI Endoscopy: Diagnostic/Therapeutic, Biopsy, Foreign Body Removal, Fulguration of Bleeder, Injection/Banding of Varices, and PEG tube placement.
- Lower GI Endoscopy: Colonoscopy and Sigmoidoscopy.
- Advanced Procedures: ERCP (Required) and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) (Preferred).
- Additional Duties: Esophageal Manometry/Dilatation, Liver Biopsy, and Sengstaken-Blakemore tube management.

Provider Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required).
- Licensure: Active Virginia Medical License (Required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERCP is mandatory.
- Liability: Minimum coverage of $2.6M (to meet Virginia’s malpractice damage cap requirements).
- Certifications: Current Flu shot (Required); COVID-19 vaccine (Highly Preferred).
- Submission Documents: Self-Query NPDB report dated within the last 30 days must be included at the time of presentation.
