Compensation: Orientation – $215/hr of orientation or training beyond 8 hours, 24 Hour On Call – $4360 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis,
Holiday 24 Hour On Call – $6545 per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis, Call Back – $430/hr, Holiday Call Back – $645/hr.
Coverage Dates
• September 6-10, 2026
• November 7-11, 2026
• November 30-December 5, 2026
• December 21-24, 2026
• Additional ongoing dates beginning January 2027
• Candidates must be available for at least some of the listed dates to be considered for ongoing coverage
Schedule
• 24-hour call
• 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
• All shifts end the following morning at 7:00 AM
• 7-day coverage blocks preferred for ongoing 2027 coverage, but not required
• Candidates must provide the number of shifts per month they can offer on an ongoing basis
Patient Population / Volume
• Adult
• Geriatric
• Adolescent
• Approximately 8-10 new patients and follow-ups
• Approximately 5-8 scopes per day
• Pediatric trauma patients may be seen starting at age 15 and 50 kg
• Pediatric patients are otherwise not admitted
• Gastroenterology functions as a consult service and does not admit patients
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient Gastroenterology consultation
• Evaluate and manage acute and complex GI conditions
• Perform endoscopic procedures
• Evaluate and manage GI bleeding
• Provide advanced endoscopy coverage
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, trauma services, and other inpatient teams

• Candidates MUST be able to perform both ERCP and EUS

• 24/7 Intensivist coverage

• Gastroenterology serves as a consulting service
Requirements
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required
• Gastroenterology Fellowship – Required
• Active Colorado license – Highly Preferred
• Active IMLC may be considered
• Active DEA – Required
• DEA must remain active for the duration of the assignment
• ERCP competency – Required
• EUS competency – Required
• Clean malpractice/background – Highly Preferred
• Local/drive-in candidates – Highly Preferred
Credentialing
• Standard credentialing: Approximately 60-90 days
• Emergency privileges may be available within approximately 1-2 weeks for candidates with a clean file
• Self-inquiry NPDB report required to release preapplication
• Colorado license or active IMLC required to release preapplication
• Preapplication and full credentialing application must be submitted immediately due to urgent coverage needs
• Provider will also credential with an additional affiliated facility
Epic / EMR Requirements
• Epic training requirements must be completed before the assignment begins
• Credentialing preapplication and full application must be submitted before the provider can move into applicant-in-training status
• AD account creation may take up to 5 days
• Epic learning modules must be completed before virtual Epic training
• Virtual Epic training must be completed at least one week before the provider’s first day
• First-day details will not be released until required Epic modules and training are complete
• Epic experience information must be provided at submission
