Overview:
A Level I Trauma hospital is seeking an Advanced Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient GI coverage with strong ERCP and EUS experience. This role includes 24-hour call coverage, inpatient consults, endoscopic procedures, and management of acute GI conditions.

Schedule
24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Approximately 5–7 days per month
Average callback hours:
Weekday: ~11.6 hours
Weekend: ~10.4 hours
Practice Details
Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based
Level I Trauma Center
EMR: Epic
Adult, geriatric, and limited adolescent population
GI functions as a consult service only
24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and trauma support onsite
Patient Volume:
8–10 consults/follow-ups daily
5–8 scopes per day
Responsibilities
Inpatient GI consults and rounding
Endoscopic procedures
ERCP and EUS procedures
Management of GI bleeds and acute GI issues
Collaboration with multidisciplinary hospital teams

Requirements
Board Certified Gastroenterology – Required
Gastroenterology Fellowship – Required
Active Colorado License or IMLC LOQ – Required
Active DEA – Required
ERCP and EUS experience – Required
Epic experience/training compliance – Required
Clean malpractice/background – Highly Preferred
NPDB Self-Query within 30 days – Required
Credentialing:
Standard: 60–90 days
Emergency privileges possible within 1–2 weeks with clean file
