Schedule
• Monday-Friday
• Approximately 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
• Full-time coverage
• Mix of clinic and inpatient responsibilities
• No call
Patient Population / Volume
• Outpatient volume: Approximately 18-22 patients
• Inpatient volume varies based on consultation needs
• Approximately 1-2 hours of inpatient rounding daily, depending on consult volume
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide Hematology/Oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Evaluate and manage Hematology/Oncology patients
• Provide inpatient consultations and follow-up care
• Perform daily inpatient rounding as needed
• Provide clinic-based patient care
• Perform biopsies as needed
• Collaborate with onsite Hematology/Oncology providers
Support
• Hematology/Oncology provider available onsite in the clinic
• Combination of inpatient and outpatient support
Documentation
• Approximately 80% paper documentation
• Approximately 20% electronic documentation
• EMR: Meditech
Requirements
• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner – Required
• Rhode Island NP license required
• Candidates requiring Rhode Island licensure may be considered
• Rhode Island NP licensure estimated at approximately 4-8 weeks
• DEA required
• Rhode Island CSR required
• Verification of Rhode Island license must be submitted if already licensed
Credentialing
• Temporary privileges may be available to support an earlier start date
• Client will consider candidates who need to obtain Rhode Island licensure, DEA, and CSR
Health Requirements
• COVID-19 vaccination required; medical exemptions permitted
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations permitted
