Orthopedic Surgeon
Assignment Details
• Location: Paducah, Kentucky
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Coverage: Ongoing 24-hour emergency call
• Initial Coverage: October 7 (7:00 AM) – October 12 (7:00 AM)
• Additional ongoing coverage opportunities available
Compensation: 24 Hour On Call – $2500 per 24 hours, Call Back – $470/hr.
Schedule
• 24-hour call shifts
• 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Emergency call with callback responsibilities
Clinical Details
• Patient Population: Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics
• EMR: Epic
• Orthopedic trauma and emergency surgical call
• Required to perform hip nailing procedures
• Cases include:
• Fracture and dislocation management
• Amputations
• Bone and joint deformities and tumors
• Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement/revision
• Arthroscopy
• Spinal surgery (with and without instrumentation)
Requirements
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Kentucky medical license or active IMLC
• DEA required
• BLS certification
• Orthopedic fellowship preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination preferred
• Experience with general operative and non-operative orthopedic procedures
• Experience with hip and knee replacement procedures
• Experience with hip and knee repair/revision procedures
• Arthroscopy experience required
• Must be proficient in hip nailing procedures
• Clean background required
• Must be available for the listed coverage dates
